Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Empact Business Inc. ("Empact," "we") is a consulting business in Toronto, Ontario. This page explains what personal information our website collects, why we collect it, who else handles it, and how to reach us about it. Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) applies to us.
Who is responsible
Alexandra Franco, Founder, is responsible for privacy at Empact and handles every privacy question and request.
Email: hello@empactbusiness.com
What we collect when you fill in a form
- Your first and last name, work email, role, company name, company website and annual revenue range
- Your answer to the open question on the form
- The page you sent the form from, and the website that linked you to us, if any
We use this to reply to you, to see whether we're a good fit, and to keep a record of our conversation. We save your details in our contact database (HubSpot) so we can follow up.
What we collect when you browse
We use two tools that place cookies (small files stored in your browser):
- Google Analytics shows us how many people visit, which pages they read, how they found us and when someone sends a form.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag helps us see how our LinkedIn ads work and lets us show our ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited this site. LinkedIn gives us grouped reports, such as job titles and industries, and doesn't tell us who you are.
The services that run the site also see basic technical details, such as your IP address and browser type. Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions. Google supplies the site's fonts. Google Tag Manager, a tool for managing website code, is also installed.
Who else handles your information
- Netlify: hosting and form storage
- HubSpot: our contact database
- Google: Analytics, Fonts and Tag Manager
- LinkedIn: the Insight Tag
- Our email provider: delivers form submissions to our inbox
- Partners or contractors: when they help us deliver a project you've hired us for
These companies may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws apply to it. We don't sell your personal information.
LinkedIn Advertising API
We use LinkedIn's Advertising API to read and manage our own LinkedIn ad account and its reporting data. We use it for internal purposes only and don't share that data with anyone.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Turn off Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.
- LinkedIn's cookie policy explains how to control its ads and cookies.
- Ask us to stop using your form information.
See, correct or delete your information
Email hello@empactbusiness.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. We reply within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and contact records while we're in touch and for our business records. We delete them when we no longer need them, or sooner when you ask.
How we protect it
Only Empact, and partners helping us deliver work for you, can see your information. We share only what they need for that work.
Questions or complaints
Email hello@empactbusiness.com first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or call 1-800-282-1376.
